Noumenia Ritual
Our first regular simultaneous ritual
is the Noumenia (the first crescent of the moon, which
begins the ancient Greek month). This will take place
before the chat each month (see Symposia
page for dates). A basic ritual has been
created:

it in PDF format here.
Each individual is also free to design
their own ritual - the important thing here is less the
precise words and actions, and more the intention and
group activity.
For some ideas on how to celebrate the
Noumenia, a passage from Porphyry:
"They say Klearkhos discharges his
religious duties and diligently sacrifices at the proper
times, because each month on the Noumeniai he places
garlands on and cleans Hermes, Hekate, and the rest of
the sacred things which his ancestors bequeathed to him,
and also because he honors (them) with frankincense and
with barley cakes and with round cakes."
