Temenoi
We are the Neokoroi, the temple
keepers. Our very name suggests that the building and
maintenance of temples and other holy places will be a
key part of our organization. The idea may seem daunting
right now, especially if you think of "temple" as a giant
marble columned structure that would take huge sums of
money to erect. So instead, let's start small, and dream
big.
Already, most of us have some kind of
shrine in our homes. Some of us even have whole rooms or
outdoor spaces devoted to the gods. It would be very
possible for many of us to create public shrines,
dedicated to our gods and primarily used by ourselves,
but open to other Hellenic polytheists who might wish to
come, pray, leave offerings, etc. They don't have to be
temples, merely temenoi (a temenos is a sacred
precinct, set aside from mundane things to house temples
or shrines for a god or gods). In the event of full
temples being built, they would be Neokoroi
naoi.
Below is a list of public temenoi run
by members of Neokoroi. In the future, we will have
information here to help you set up your own open shrine.

inspired by Greek mythology.
